Celebration of Pisco Sour Day at the Nero Bar
Every year, the first Saturday of February is celebrated as the “International Pisco Sour Day” but in India the celebrations last for a month and this year the country is the center of the celebrations after the Intellectual Property Appellate Board of India (IPAB) recognized in November 2018 that the word "pisco" is undoubtedly a denomination of origin exclusively from Peru. The activities began in Goa on February 2, and the gush of revelry reached Delhi on February 8 where an event was organised at the illustrious Nero bar of Le Méridien. The event was attended by Indian authorities, diplomats, journalists and bloggers and to celebrate the friendship between India and Peru the cocktail “Pisco Masala”; made with the spices of India as the main ingredient, was created by the mixologist of the bar. Mumbai and Bangalore are soon to host the events too. Also, now it is possible to enjoy the king of the cocktails made with "Pisco" in the main bars of Mumbai, Delhi and Goa.
