Celebration of India Color Festival, a tribute to Indian festivals from Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay and El Salvador

On November 4th, "De Colores India" was organised at Select City Walk, one of the busiest shopping malls in Saket, New Delhi. The event was jointly organised by the Embassies of Peru, Ecuador, El Salvador and Paraguay and the idea behind the collaboration was to pay tribute to the Indian Festivals.
All four participating Embassies made rangolis, an art form in which patterns are created on the floor using colored sand or flower petals. Rangolis are widely made during “Diwali”, the festival of lights in India. The Embassies made rangolis with traditional motifs from their home countries.
The Rangoli of the Peruvian Embassy was made with colored powder, as well as rose, marigolds and zendu petals and its design was inspired by the national coat of arms of Peru.
